Welcome!

Dr. Elizabeth Donovan is a cellist and teacher in Portland, Oregon. She specializes in working with beginning students, and raising student awareness so they can be effective in the practice room. As a performer, Elizabeth enjoys performing standard repertoire and popular songs for recitals and other events.

She earned her Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Oregon, where she was a graduate teaching assistant in the studio of Steve Pologe, instructing cello students in a variety of capacities and performing in the graduate string quartet.

Dr. Donovan teaches cello lessons in Portland, Oregon, and online via Zoom. She is available to perform at events in the Portland area, and anywhere in the Pacific NW.

This is Franz Schubertโ€™s String Quintet in C from my second DMA Recital. Featuring the talents of Ryan Downs and Simeon Brown on violin, Devin Burgess on viola, and Austin Bennett on second cello. This is one of my favorite performances from my DMA. Performance date: May, 25, 2019
